Shih Tzus - Puppies - General Description
Shih Tzus are one of the most docile dogs you can ever have. It is compact, intelligent and playful. However, it will never bother you after a hard day. You can leave it to itself and never worry that it will be bored. These dogs can do perfectly well by themselves. All you have to do is supply your pet with its favorite toys and give your children some tips on how to handle this little living being to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. Please, remind them that though the Shih Tzu is referred to as a Toy Dog one should treat it with respect.

Shih Tzus seem to have no idea of their size. They are brave, although they try to avoid skirmishes with other dogs. Isn't a sign of high self-esteem peculiar in this breed? Shih Tzus do bark. But this is only to let you know when there is someone at the door and by no means should be considered as an attempt to scare your guests. Shih Tzus are rather friendly.
